MAUI (The Valley Isle)
The island of Maui is nicknamed "The Valley
Isle" because the central plains area, when
viewed from the air, looks like a big valley sitting
between the two volcanoes that formed this
island. Out of all the islands here in Hawaii,
Maui is known as "No Ka Oi", or Maui is
"The Best". Maui's flower is the
Lokelani rose and the island's color is pink.
Some of the notable places to visit on Maui are: the
Hana Coast Line (a beautiful drive through Maui's
rainforest area filled with lush greenery and
waterfalls), Iao Valley State Park, and the town of
Lahaina (the town itself was designated a National
Historic Landmark in 1962 and was once the capital of
the Hawaiian Islands). For the more adventurous,
there are lots of hiking trails and Haleakala, Maui's
Volcano (watching the sunrise from Haleakala is one of
the most spectacular things to see while on
Maui). But no matter what you decide to see or
do while visiting Maui, Blue Hawaii Vacations Express
is here for you. We do NOT manage properties or
work for hotels, we work for YOU to find the best
Hawaiian travel accommodations within your
budget. "Building one vacation at a
time..."
